Maersk Line

Maersk is based in Ho Chi Minh City 28, PhungKhacKhoan Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1. Maersk is the world’s largest carrier in terms of cargo and fleet number. Maersk Line in Vietnam strongly routes as far as Europe and Africa. It can be said Maersk Line is less prone to delay shipping, travel time, relatively good service and reputation. Maersk is headquartered in Copenhagen and has agents in 130 countries worldwide.

Maersk owns 550 vessels and 50 chartered vessels carrying containers, including the world’s largest ship several Panamax type (320mx33,53m) and Tau Emma Maersk (397,71m x 56,40m, tonnage of 11,000 TEU) vessels, this does not have to call Vietnam. Also Maersk is 37 vessels and put more in common with other shipping companies.

Maersk Line has not contracted any new ships since early 2011 when its groundbreaking Triple-E 18,270 teu  vessels were ordered. With only a handful of these still to be delivered, Maersk Line has made no secret of its need for new tonnage within a few years, as other lines start to catch up in terms of ultra-large vessels.

In addition to the field of cargo by sea, in terms of doing business in multiple fields, the Maersk Group has 50% stake in Danish supermarkets complexes. This complex has nearly 1,200 stores in Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Sweden.

Also Maersk also has a 20% stake in Bank of Denmark (Den Danske Bank), the largest joint-stock banks in Denmark.
